Default Strange noise from sani when in 4 wheel drive

Ok this is my dilemma. I will try to explain as best possible.

In normal two wheel drive with front hubs locked no noise at all.

In four wheel drive (with front hubs locked of course ) high range or low range there is a noise which resembles a "clack clack clack" coming from the right wheel hub. This noise speeds up or slows down as the car changes speed.
When still in 4 wheel drive and I move into 2 wheel drive the noise stops immediately.

So all this happens only in 4 wheel drive high or low range.

As I lift my foot off the accelerator the noise also subsides .

I hope one of you can perhaps throw some light on this

Tried to explain as good as possible

    Thanx

    It sounds like a CV.

I had the same experience. With the hubs locked and TC selector in 2WD, no noise. The front drive-shafts does turn, but there are no load on them. As soon as I select 4WD (Lo or Hi) the noise starts. It was more audible with the steering/wheels turned.

Izzy I second KobusDJ on that. HAppend to a friend at de wildt a while back. Got the CV reconed as far as I can remeber it was cheap. He did it somewhere in voortrekker road pretoria.
