    Thumbs up

That sounds divine Bob. I think it will give the guys enough time to respond and then to decide on a venue

    Default Tentative

This is like organising something for 2011...KZN'ers normally confirm/decide the weekend before.

I'm keen - for the 6th. (not keen for 14th...not even going to ask )

How about a braai - top of Black Mountain pass?

black moountain pass is very, very far away; past the land of nod; over the barrier of spears and about 20 clicks past the highest pub.

I cannot mention my little beasties' stock-standardness in the open air for fear of flapping ears & crouching tigers.

    Nice one Ruan,

Im keen. but lets try something different. I understand there is a 4x4 track of sorts in Vernon Crookes.

    OR

Lets go play at that Umzinto quarry thing that the 4x4 club kzn does it training in.

    OR

Lets support local and go to Killarney?

Vernon Crookes sounds cool. I read a report in Leisure Wheels about it and it seems very nice there. I had the likes of Killarney in mind. Just thought it would be nice to support local, get to know each other a bit better and then get to know Belinda too. Maybe we can also sort out the "tresspassing" issue while we are at it. We will all be there to see where it is that we are allowed and where we might anger a shotgun wielding farmer...

    Also to sample Collin's fillets

Great idea. We are in for either the 6th or the 7th.

My vote is to support local. It would be nice to visit Killarney again after such a long time.

Hi all, Killarney 4x4 has allready been booked for a function on the 6th of Feb, the following weekend is clear for the 4x4 comm forum and everyone is wellcome to come. The Ideais to discuss the boundaries, new tracks to accomodate soft 4x4's and 4x2 difflocks. We want to make the track an experiance and a family outing for all to enjoy. For all the helpers on the day, there is no charge and will allso be asked to test the new additions that will be added. I will suggest the additions and it is then open for discussion and review. Please come support us in this project so we can all have input and maximise enjoyment. Thanking you all in sport.

Vernon's scenary is very nice but might be to tame for most of you guys
I went there about 3 weekends ago with the 4x2 in the rain and didn't even need to flick the DL switch. Lots of rain might change things...
I would however recommend it as a game viewing, easy driving venue for a family day. The 4x4 section is MUCH bigger than the platkar section.
Adults R10, Kids R5 entrance fee.

My vote is therefor also for Killarney.

The following weekend is also good for me (13/14 Feb). It is Wellingtons day on the Sunday though.

I know that it is almost a month away but it wil give us time to get as many hands on deck as possible.

What do you guys think? Suggestions on an alternative date

I can think of no better place to take the missus for a steak on Valentines day. I can help on Saturday afternoon after work as well.

I have invited a newbee with a Freelander so we can test the softroader sections too.

I will confirm numbers closer to the time.

Ruan can start a list on the first post with details updated as and when they are available.
