Currently flying in Papua New Guinea for support LNG fields. This is one drill bit 14.6m just over 12 tons.
About 70% there but lots of paperwork and requirements. Did sim checks in Jakarta must say they were quit strict know what to look for but was happy with sim and our performance. Even the sim itself had to be approved.Busy with their CAA exams.
Yes did first flight on the 03-12-2023 from Port Morseby to Garoka and back pickup a u/s helicopter .
It was not easy sim check, local exams ,lots of paperwork (2 and a halve day just the inspection) ,aircraft inspection and last the check flight with there number ONE inspector.
Got the AOC hopefully next year just flying.
Our baby with new name about ready. Next week off to PNG
Any load we carry

After almost no flying last year (matric intervered somehow.....), Jnr is back in the air.
However, changed flight schools, so he has to get use to Sling 2's vs Cessna 152/172's.
Anyhow, this is what the ABKZNNC looks like from the air on a stunning day.

Solo done.
(And that is how you finish a pack of Winston 20's in 15 minutes if you are the dad......)

It looks as if he survived it, so your blood pressure can return to normal.
I'm sure the shining face and excited retelling of the event more than made up for the harrowing minutes of waiting.
