    Hi Rico

No, I do not think that I have met him. I see that you are in Delmas. I overfly your area often on a Sunday afternoon with the microlight.

Tjoek, so you're the guy that I see on weekend in Delmas.
I stay next to the golf course.

Tony is the current SA champ (PPG) and was the captain
of the SA team at the world champs in China last year.
Got his own flying school in Centurion.

    Check him out on www.ppg.co.za

He offered to train me, for free, but I don't know if I am
scared or seeing up to the driving to be in Centurion
    at 6 in the morning.

I'm not really scared, but if that gogga bites you it means
plenty moola to get your own kit.

    Default Askam in a C210

I recently flew as part of our training to Askam in the NCape. Landing on Verneukpan for a quick lunch. Filling up at Upington and landing on a bush strip.

Been messing around on the site and saw this thread........

Qualified on heli's......R22 and B206 and converting to R44....around 200 hrs total flying time...excluding around 8 hrs on fixed wing...now those are more scary than an engine failure in the hover !!!!!!

    Hey Slabfish,

This site is a bit quiet. I would have thought being in JBay, the other passion would have been a bit of Hang 10! Flying goes without saying!! Bruce's babe's are waiting - cheaper too...

My SWAMBO is a comm pilot, fixed wing. My best mate is also a comm pilot, helis. I sneak in all the time on flights to do MPI's and stuff. Been all over in a R44 more times than I can remember. Been in a 206L, Anglo Gold's 412, a Huey and a Hughes MD 500. Hopefully start my PPL this year still with him if he just hurries up and does his instructors....

    Hi all!!

I have a commercial licence on helicopters. I have flown R22, R44, Bell 206, EC120, EC130, and Squirrel (AS350). Currently looking for work, if anybody knows of anything.

    Hey John,

Hope you come right. Your best bet (I'm sure you know already) is to approach NAC, Starlite and SAPS. I see also one of the emergency medical services are using either an EC120 or 130, can't tell.

    Thanks MikeHenry

The Red Cross Air Mercy Service uses red and white EC130s and Squirrels at various bases around the country. Unfortunately they are not employing pilots at the moment. Not sure if Alpine use a 130 with their Helivac contract. They operate Squirrels, EC120s and EC130s. Still waiting to hear from them. Vague possibility of a Squirrel contract coming up with the company I trained with. Not sure when I will know anything about that.
