PS: For those pilots building hours - that is enough for an ATPL in one flight, by necessity enough command and night hours, in one go! Just one take off and landing though, probably no approaches, so still some IF work to cover...
The ferry tanks would have to have been almost the entire cabin space and the work getting the fuel up to the wings would have taken some planning with a manual backup of some description needed.

That 65 day one is a definite WOW! achievement.

    Good for him!
Not sure what I could ever say to ease your nerves, but night flying is great experience and confidence builder…

Geniet die ervaring saam met junior, die "memories" wat julle bou is vir ewig. CPL is 'n moeilike beroepskeuse, maar die beloning is groot as julle deurdruk. Sterte !!

My skuilnaam "340" verwys juis na my junior se eerste "paying job", hy het op 237 ure begin om 'n Cessna 340A te vlieg. Jaco junior sal weet wat 'n 340A is. My senuwees is nou nog aan vlarde.

What a privilege to share those magic flying moments with your son! I remember years ago my son standing next to me helping to keep the C208 straight and level as a young boy, sadly medical preventing him from flying. Those moments are some of best to be shared! Godspeed for Jaco Jnr and his career!

Many thanks Oom Roelf. Jnr says he will trade you a flip in the Sling for a blast in the Porsche.

(I wouldn't if I was you. The Porsche will clean run away from the Sling at V-Max. A few years ago Jnr went for a joyride in a very fast 911. A lady was driving. He came back with the biggest grin possible that got even wider when he said "Dad, jy sal nie glo hoe hard trek die Porsche lankal verby 200 nie.....").

The boy has petrol in his veins.

    Apologies for OT.

My first flight with Jnr this morning.

    I can proudly report that

    * He is a very decent pilot

    * My undercarriage is still pristinely clean.

    * I cannot get that 1 pic upright.....
