(Advice PLEASE!) Used 2005 Jeep 2.8 CRD 4x4

Hi all,

We looking at trading in a merc c 270 in on a 2005 Jeep Cherokee CRD 2.8 (M) 4x4 with 106 000 km's (full service history) R169 000. It seems in very good condition.

Can anyone advise me on this Jeep? Ive been told bad stuff about them and not sure to listen or not.

1. they break easily and are expensive to repair? (especially diffs and gearboxes)

2. Resale is bad and you cant sell the thing?

3. Heavy on fuel?

Any advice or tips appreciated!

Hi, I've had mine for almost 5 years, did 90 000km since I bought it (purchased with 60 000km on the clock). Great vehicle, no issues on mine (as long as you service the car as per schedule of course), no diff, no gearbox hassles, fuel consumption very good (especially on open road). Just bought a Grand Cherokee, will sell mine now and will surely miss it!

If you tell me if its a sport or a limited edition then i can give you teh retail,trade and market value then you can check the price as well

Thanks very much appreciate the info! it seems like a very nice vehicle. I called the salesman this morning to organise a test drive and he informed me it is sold there was a deal pending on it he said. Said nothing about that the day before! anyway will keep my eyes open for another one.

Thought I would let you know decided on the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7CRD, model 2002 to 2005, mercedes engine, now all I have to do is locate one ! Thanks for advice.
