    Default Mitsubishi Offroad Xplorers Club

There is a Mitsubishi Offroad Xplorers Club (www.xplorers.co.za) but over the last 2-3 years changes in Mitsubishi management have meant that it has been side lined. Currently the trainers are appointed by the dealerships and not Mitsubishi so talk to your dealer. The person at Mitsubishi responsible for the club is the Marketing Manager - Robert Black.

If you feel the program is not living up to what it should be send him an e-mail and ask him what his plan is.

    [email protected]

Essentially every buyer of Mitsubishi 4X4 should get a welcome pack (hip bag with binoculars) and an invitation to free 4X4 training at a MOX(Mitsubishi Offroad Xplorer) venue and subsequently Xplore magazines via the post.

I feel it is shame that this program has degenerated to the state it is now and that Mitsubishi has basically succumbed to a few dealers pressure which has meant that in some areas it works great while in others it is non existant.

Thanks for this, now we have someone to whinge to!

It has been a big disappoinment for me. When I got my vehicle in January, I had all these aspirations of beinf a member of this so-called club. The only reason I actually managed to do the 4x4 course is that I had to toss a few toys with the dealership.

My mail will be on it's way to Robert Black shortly....

Hi Ralph, welcome to the forum!

Please tell us more about the "Rush Outdoor Expo" you mention on your website?

    Thanks!

I got a day of basic training. That's it. Apparently it was followed up by the guy doing the training and not the other way around. A buddy who bought at the same time as me got nothing.

I sent an e-mail to Robert Black from DC regarding this and this was his response.

    Dear Mr Bloomer,

I am dismayed that we have been caught out in this fashion. Moreso, that you have not received benefits from our Loyalty Programme.

I thank you for reporting to us the litany of unfulfilled promises. I would like to thoroughly investigate the facts leading to your situation and revert to you in full and rectify immediately the glaring mishaps that were not supposed to happen.

Please expect to hear from me by tomorrow already.

    Regards,

    Robert Black

OK, some feedback. I just received a call from the person in charge of the Mitsubishi Loyalty programme...

She's just taken over the loyalty programme and she acknowledges that it's a continental stuff up (she's had several hundred complaints) and has been tasked with rectifying the situation. They had a backlog from June last year in terms of memebr packs etc etc etc, and are now looking at this year's... Apparently a new look web-site is in testing at the moment and will be available soon.

If anyone would like to call her, PM me and I will send you the contact details, but lets see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

The club is still around, see www.xplorers.co.za. You can join via the website.

I joined some 2 years back and have been receiving the XPlorers magazine ever since (comes twice a year I think).

I joind about 6 years ago when I bought my ClubCab. I receive magazines, but never received the welcome pack, despite a few calls and faxes. It made me realize that once they have your money, they're not that interested in upholding their promises.

WOW...Bought my vehicle in Feb and haven't even heard of this Club until now, let alone recieve anything. I know the Durban dealership is slow, but this is just ridiculous.

You haven't missed anything. Just an occassional advert disguised as a magazine

The Club was alive and lived up to its promises when we joined in about 2004 but it soon ran out of steam and today consists, as Spike said, of an occassional advert.
