    Default Koni shocks for Patrol

Has anyone fitted Konis to their Patrol. I am considering it and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has.
    Thanks

    Hi Unkredible,

Ja...have also been thinking of going this route for my next set. Quite a bit of positive comment on the Aussie Patrol site www.patrol4x4.com, if you want to do some reading.

Most of the discussion in Aus goes around 82, or 88 series Koni`s, but looking on the SA website, the shocks on offer are called Koni "Heavy Track", so not sure if there has been a name change, and whether a Heavy Track is equivalent to an 82 or 88 series? It seems in Aus that the 88 is the one to go for if you drive a lot of rough gravel.

Let us know what you decide, and what the prices are. I will be watching this thread with interest!

So I put in the Konis last week - wow, what a difference. It feel much more connected to the road, handles bumps and corrugations much better, much more comfortable around town too. Not softer, just a lot less harsh.
Installation was relatively easy - took about 2 hours but could have been less with a better jack and a few other tools.
I put in heavy tracks - price was right - the "Raid" shocks (90 series) are over 4 grand a shock...

Unkredible, would you please post the part numbers of these shocks. I am in need of new shocks and am keen on Koni's.
If you don't mind how much did you pay for the shocks?
