    Default Bash Plates

I'm thinking of making myself a bash plate for my 1999 HB. What I need to know is what kind of steel is requied? I can get a plate 4.5mm thick @ R410/mē but it is mild steel. Will this work or what kind of steel is required?

4.5 Mild steel is fine. Mine is 4mm MS, and has taken some seriaaaaas shots. Weld some ribs in on the inside to add strength.
    Everything is a hammer.
Unless it is a screw driver.

    Then it it a chisel.
