    Default Nissan Service

I got some pricing from Nissan in benoni , 75,000km Service = R1900 { not to bad i supose } , if i want a new air filter and diff oil changed it would set me back another R1000 .

Thats a bit rough and will most likly do the last two myself !
Does anyone know where i can get a new Original Hardbody or good enough air filter at resonable price ?

just for interst sake 90,000km service is R6000 . Is this about the norm for a major service

Is there any advantage taking my vehicle to Nissan rather than a service city or something similar ? .

Im hoping they check everything and dont just change oil , oil filter, fuel filter , spark plugs and send me on my way

Remember also to check the gearbox and transfer case for water contamination.

    Hi Rage

If your hardbody is still under warrenty it has to go to Nissan if not do it yourself and use only the best products you can afford.

I wont use Nissan they are expensive and you wont know what they really do to your 4x4.

Rage101, I hear what you say, but you must get "hands on". You are not always going to be around people that can help you and then you have to be able to help yourself.

So take the 101 to 102 and get a bit more knowledgeable.

Getting the filter out and cleaing is the easy part ,The problem i have ,is the bracket that clamps around the airfilter housing has been bent in the past and now wont just clip over anymore . I think this needs to be replaced

Letting a programmer loose in the bonnet of a car is not a good idea , but i have learnt alot already at the various outings and most likly will do some of the courses offered .

what ever you do dont go to nissan to buy a clamp... dont think you have enough money... build your own or use those ti-down straps without the ratchet(the ones you pull tight).

a quick question? does your armrest console have both clips or is one broken off? they are just over R100 for a plastic clip
