    Default Tracing a cell phone

We have a situation developing here. SWAMBO has been getting phone calls from a cell phone, the number is not hidden and they are inappropriate, to say the least. Is there anybody that can trace this phone and tell us from where these calls originate.

I don't want to spook this guy. I want to lead him down the garden path, into a pit of adders. I am scared that if I go to the police, they might phone him and warn him off. Being comrades and all.

If there is anybody in this trade, please pm me. Can you tell us how to handle this?

Henris has the number so you either need a sly contact in the cell industry - sweet talk works with consultants sometimes.

Otherwise you need to report to the police in which case they will probably scare him off.

Or try a marketing ploy. Phone him off a private number and offer him some winnings. Ask for his address ( delivery ) and consent to a picture in the paper of him and his new BBQ sponsored by Makro.

My advice......... take it to the police. You don't want him to take revenge on your SWAMBO 2 years down the line.

Firstly I want to know if he is from around here. If he is, what kind of character is he?

Once I know his profile, I know how to handle this.
    Let die a natural death?
    The pit full of adders?
    Or just broken knee caps.

But first, I need to know who I am dealing with.

Over here Henri you would have to contact your 'phone company/ network provider. They all have policies for nuisance callers.

Mike, in ZA you get a computer to talk to when you call the networks. So I think it will be easier to just go to an outlet and let them explain what could be done.

I don't know what the caller is talking to your wife....but mine left her cell phone number obviously at too many places and get's now "bombed" with advertisement calls....she just finished up the prepaid amount and changed to a new number - no other choice....

This is at least an option to consider if she wants to stop the bothering calls and almost free of cost.

Post the number and we can all call him.
Or place an small add in the newspaper for job application: half day position in office; with number to call.

We just answer those calls and leave the phone on. The longer the caller continues with his games, the more expensive for him..
