I'm getting all my facts and names correct and confirmed, then I will send Dirk a full report.
I came home with a box full of quality freebies,a compressor,a gen set and a huge discount voucher from a tyre company.I intended everybody to go home with something but the few dronkies killed the mood.
It took me a while to join the forum, I like my space, this experience is making me very reluctant to air more ideas/events, I was already planning another trip!

    Hi Robert / Bob

Thanks for the trip. Was fun being a back seat driver for a change!

I would just like to openly apologize if the people see me as one of the DRONKIES. Please just note that i did not drive and will never drive drunk. If i created a bad experience to the rest of the people sorry and please accept my apology.

    Regards,

    Adriaan

    Hi Guys

I would like to say thanks to Bob for organising Friday’s night drive. It was great fun!!! And I would like to apologise to RAGE101 and Bob for leaving on Saturday without saying goodbye. We went for a drive into the Koepel.

And further more … It was just the one car that went overboard with the alcohol usage! I am rather going to focus on all the other positive aspects of Friday night.

You're right, there were positive sides to the drive, but I couldn't possibly even TRY to explain afer the excellent report that Rage101 started this with. We still haven't got any night pics yet, only one guy had the right camera set up,I did a few with my Canon set up but driving and taking photos wasn't possible,I'm not that incredible!Does anybody know the photographer-Landie guy? But I got a few shots before the drive and the next morning.... Thats Rage101 going up and down the mineshaft!

OOoooh!!! what can i say, night driving!?...is it good or is it good.
I must say it was nice -something different , not what I would do all the time. At night (to me ) the coarse actually looks easier than the day time. During day time ,off coarse ,it is a awesome farm to with beautiful site seeing and challenging tracks to drive.
Fist off all ,thank you very much Rob for this great different Idea- everybody enjoyed it (off coarse you will always get the critics and moaners) but who cares about them, I realy enjoyed it
The cherry on the cake is as usual allways the photos afterwards- well here is a couple of pics -thust keep in mind the night shots was difficult because I had no tripot and had to do a lot of running up (in the dark) and down and tried to stay with the rest off the pack- at times the shutter of my camara styed open for more than 8 sek,but after all not bad for hand held.

They want to re-open the Rhino challenge, but as you can see it has deterioted,it's even worse now. They also have to chop the trees down on the river run but they intend to utilise the logs to make a few man made obstacles!Should be fun? Does anybody know who's the really fantastic Mitso belongs to?

Name and shame is the way to go. It is the only option to ensure that we clean up our act. Nothing wrong with a brannas and coke afterwards but not during!

Bob! the sheep got away because I could not find my gumboots in the dark ( you do know the story about the sheep and gum boots -don't you?)
For the photos-just E-mail me. < [email protected]> I do have A problem with my computer at work, it seems to me that when I submit photos I cannot send a photo larger than 40kb -must say it is very frustrated, unless I am doing something wrong from my side( wonder how these other guy's get such large photos on the forum)

Dries-why don't you buy a bigger lense for bigger photos and when you develop pics only use white ink, especially with night scenes, I wondered what you were doing in the bushes at Berakah, everytime you took a photo there was a bright flash, I think that camera of yours has got one hell of a short, the sheep and cows kept on running away from you, must have also been putting your gumboots on?
