    Default Stamp Collection

last night while cleaning out the garage, i came across my grans stamp collection which she gave to me about 10 years ago.
i was told by a friend that i should have them locked in the safe, and that they worth quite a bit.
where could someone get them valued? and is it really needed to have them locked in a safe?

Keep it out of cold area , the moths loves them.
You can go to the post office and they can tell you who is a local collector in the area , the person has got a book and and can look up the value.
It can take a while if everything is dump in a box .
The value of a stump has got to do with a lot of things, conditions, date, used

Yes they could ( are) valuable.
Have them examined and valued at an officially affilliated Philatelic member/ group.

    That could be extremely good.
Depends on date of issue, reason of issue, country of origin and amount of prints.

my husband is an avid stamp collector. You can value them yourself instead of taking them elsewhere (and possibly having them swopped out!). Just buy the appropriate stamp catalogue and the prices are in there. I think you then need to deduct 30% for the realistic value. Especially if they are sorted into type, country etc. this will increase the value.
