Default 2004 Model Grand Cherokee CRD heat gauge

I would like to know what the operating temperature should be for a 2004 model Grand Cherokee CRD. It appears that the heat gauge only shows about 65C even after a long drive (150km). Is this normal and if not, what could be the cause. Where should I start to look?

    Default

...70C should be normal for casual driving.
Give it some work todo up a steep hill for a few kilometres then see what it does. It should be higher than 80C and lower than 100C.
