    Default Namibia Camping

Hello again. Seeing you were all so helpful with my Swakop query perhaps I could get some comments on the following camping places in Nam.

    1. Kalahari Restcamp - Botswana
    2. Kalahari Bush Breaks
(the two above are our stopovers from Jhb - Nam)
    3. Waterberg Plateau Park Campsite
    4. Ondongo Camping
    5. Omarunga Camping
    6. Cunene River Lodge Campsite
    7. Hobatere Tree House
    8. Namibgrens
    9. Namib Naukluft Camping

Any advise on quiet camping places near Sossusvlei would be welcome. I have a feeling that Namib Naukluft may be too far away from the dunes to make it a decent day´s outing. All comments most welcome.

    Go well

I believe Weltevrede is an amazing camp, not been there but booked for 2011. Only 2 campsites with own private ablutes. If you can get there a camp site about an hours drive from Sossus called Hauchabfontein is UNBELIEVABLE. River with deep pools & lovely private camp sites. Enjoy Botswana I'm green with envy

Doc63, I can only comment on the ones we had been to. Kalahari rest camp - will stay over again. Waterberg Plateau Park - sleepover was on a Satuday, camp was full and extremely noisy - will give it a miss next time. Cunene River Lodge - use this for a rest period - definately 2 nights. The other I haven't been to.
