Electricity at Mkhuze campsite?

Good afternoon all KZNers. Has anybody camped at Mkhuze recently? Is it still generator electricity for a few hours in the evening only?

Would also be interested to know. Want to take my daughter for a father-daughter weekend but it would be good to know what to expect/prepare for.

Morning we were going camping at Mkuze this Easter weekend but then I had problem with the connection between Pathfinder & trailer. We then stayed in Rest huts. I did however contacted one of the Mkuze Honorary members beforehand and she found out from Camp Manager at Matuma that generator runs in morning from 5 - 9 and then evening 17h00-20h00. They do however recommend that you are self sufficient and as a precaution you can store your frozen meat at deepfreezes at reception.
the swimming pool at camp was crystal clear and most of camp sites were cleared of overgrown grass. We counted about 10 campsites occupied by Friday when we got there and when leaving Sunday it was probably about 15.Maybe someone actually camping can give feedback

We camped at Mkhuze over the Easter weekend. No electricity as the generator was broken. The campsites are fantastic as the grass is cut. Swimming pool crystal clear. However, the ablutions are in dire need of some maintenance. The park itself is great and the hides are probably the best we have ever used!!
