Can anyone tell me the distance from Bokspits to Mabua's eastern entrance gate. Is any petrol accessible on the way?

Beut Tarred road from Bokspits to Tsabong.

I think the last time I did that rd , it was 230 kms from Tsabong to Two rivers. Tsabong to Mabua East gate is 85 gravel, 35 deep sand.
Should have no issue with fuel. Johan at Mokala has everythng you need and if he has not got, he can get it. Can recommend his meat, very good.

Apologies to Timmo for drifting slightly off topic.....
For a Capetonian wanting to enter Mabua East gate via Upington, what's the most popular route? To Bokspits, Tsabong, Mabua or to Kuruman, Macarthys Rest, Tsabong, Mabua?
TIA
The difference is the conditions and safety of the roads. Coming from Alberton, even going straight to KTP, I much prefer traveling through Botswana than through SA. The same on the way back.
The Molopo highway from Bokspits is a joy to travel, other than the usual 100, 80, 60 spots there are no hazards to worry about. Far less traffic, no coal trucks and no worries about drug driven crime in some of SA's small towns. It is just all together more pleasant.

I'm trying the Bokspits-Tsabong route for the first time in a few weeks. As beautiful as the McCarthy's area is, that area around the mines was not pleasant to drive and so slow with the road works. I don't see myself going that way soon again. I've also done the shorter more direct gravel road between Upington and Van Zyl's, its also a beautiful drive, but can be very corrugated and unpleasant.
You will not be sorry, look out for the little monolith

Thanks Stranger and ChasingSunsets. I think that answers it......it's going to be Mabua via Bokspits.
I'm there early May. Maybe see you there ChasingSunsets?
Thank you guys for your helpful replies. I know the road well, but as an ageing hippie I forget the fuel stops. But I remember the lions, the beautiful sunsets, the sound of the barking geckos and the deep relaxation brought on by a couple of beers and the realization that we are tiny creatures in the paradise of Mabua
Sorry Timmo, I'm going to piggyback on your thread again.
I just need some confirmation please......My itinerary has changed a bit - original plan was to get to and from Mabua via Bokspits/Tsabong. I've now managed to get some bookings on the RSA side of KTP so will now be travelling to Mabua from Nossob along the Boso trail. From Mabua, I want to exit at Mabua East gate, and return to RSA via Tsabong/Bokspits.
My question is, assuming I go through customs at Two Rivers, can I then just exit Mabua gate, drive down the Molopo highway, and enter RSA at Bokspits or do I have to return to Two Rivers border post? Is the Mabua gate allowed to just let me out of the trans-frontier park?
I'm suddenly having a "seniors" moment![]()
Yes, you clear immigration at Two Rivers. And come back into SA at Bokspits.
Thanks for the confirmation RobH.
