I need to use an A-Frame to tow a Bantam bakkie.
Where can I find the regulations regarding this perhaps?

Looking for advise on the license requirements for a goose neck trailer / horsebox being towed with a cruiser with ebrakes.

Eerste vraag, watter cruiser? Meeste cruisers kan/mag nie meer as 1500kg sleep nie.
Kyk binne bonnet of in deur pilaar op plaaitjie wat gcw van voertuig is.

Do you mean the drivers license requirements, or something else?

If you have coupled brakes and a eb license (old code 08) then you should be fine up to the tow rating of the tow vehicle.

As mentioned elsewhere, Toyota’s traditionally have very low tow ratings so check what your maximum towing mass is.

Also make sure you do not fall foul of the gcm.

Perhaps post the trailer Tare mass and gross mass. Then the tare for your Prado, as well as the gvm and gcm for the prado.

A little more detail on the electric brakes would also be interesting and are they locally approved? Sabs or similar?

Goose neck? Does that mean with the 5th wheel in loadbox type of hitch? So only on bakkie?

Will, If you chop the back of the 100, fit a disc, you will have a brilliant tow vehicle. Just make sure your cooler is sufficient.

Combined mass on that car is 6780kg

Solank die 100 n fabrieks 4.2td of 4.7v8 is. As dit n 4.2d 4.2 afternarket turbo, of 4.5 is, gaan dit glad nie werk.

Big question is what drivers license would be required and do brakes have to be air or electric?

What vehicle did you had in mind? You said cruiser. Can you be a bit more specific. That should be your starting point.
For drivers licence and brakes, what would you think would be the maximum loaded mass of the trailer?
