Not in Van Wyksdorp. It rains too little there.

Grips your video shows the reality of a bad "road"!

Very few vehicles manufactured today (not talking Unimogs, etc), will survive that.

Yes, the reason why todays bakkies not become a good plaas bakkie, in some areas. Apart for paint scratching, and puncture or two, a land cruiser can do that with out issues. The rubber boot on a IFS will not last very long anyway

Tractor with a bossiekapper for the taaibos and such. If the bush is too big, you lift the bossiekapper, and reverse into it.
The Karoo leaves tracks for a long time if you have driven through any veld.

Visited my brother in Namibia a few years ago on the farm. He needed to create a few additional "paadjies". Solution was one big tractor tyre behi d the cruiser which I drove. He walked in front spotting the way whete he wanted it to be. Did a few km's. After the first attempt there was a clear indication and we drove it again anotherc2 or 3 times with the tyre and that was it. The rest of the holiday we drove it everyday without the tyre and very quickly you had a tweespoor

... one need consider the early genesis and evolution of classic African BushRoads that may locally be referred to as 'tweespoor' etc
Such pioneering tracks were preferentially developed along animal paths etc by wagons and traction engines etc that , with traffic, initiated and naturally developed such classic 'tweespoor' bush twin-tracks.
They general hugged contour routes over topography and generally routes were obviously of low gradient and wound round rather than through challenging obstructions.
Without doubt nearly all such BushTracks were then indelibly maintained by the passage of LandRovers that really opened up Darkest Africa, even through and to the remotest areas.
Rugged topography, testing river-crossings and passes etc etc often precluded the use of lesser vehicles.
Consider this background respectfully for any
attempt to develop subtle but effective bushroads on new routes.
