Nothing wrong mechanical with van, lost of rust, need another cab shell.

Money is the problem, which i believe many people are feeling.

Have had to talke things slower, because i dont have the funds to pay for everything. Bought new aluminium radiator, with 2x10" electric fans and thermo switches +relay. My copper radiator needs to be fixed properly.

A friend is helping me run around jhb to find engineering shop to machine the shaft and smaller pulley, but he has to still work during the day.
And the big problem was finding a bearing that was or is going to handle the load and speed of this and not blow apart. Found the bearing, cost just short of R400

At 3.1 to 1 pulley ratio the van had low end power and speed, but that ran out very quickly at around 2400 rpm. Hence why the new shaft and pulley, will start of at 4.4 to 1 and see if need to lower or higher the crank pulley.

Having ptfe seals made up for the crank rear and front rubber oil seal, oil pissing out the rear and just re built the engine after the armoloy coating that was on the pistons peeled off and f...up my engine. Who ever tells you to do that(armoloy), have fun. Its for racing, not for day to day life of engine.

Plus, things in moz have not and will not recover for good couple of years. So no business money changing hands

Well anyways, have fun. Because I'm not

Who has or makes torsion bars for the courier shape van in SA, any idea on the price for a set?

anyone know of a single cabin, even been in accident. Something that mite end up in the dump. Courier shape
Thinking of having a fibre glass cab shell made, there is one guy that users some of the firewall and something to cast fibre glass around that as a starting point. I have tried to find a cabin made complete fibre, but no luck, there use to be a place in Pretoria, but can't find them.

Hi Pilchardtinfish. A friend knew someone that had a (I think) Stout fiberglass body on some or other chassis. Mboza was the name of the company that made the bodies.

I did find a website for them, but it did not open on my PC. Maybe also check Facebook or see if you can find a number or email for them.

EDIT: I also saw a thread on this forum where Mboza themselves made a reply, but that was back in 2007. Maybe worth a try to also contact them on here.
