    First make sure that the breather pipe running from the tappet cover to carburetor is open.

    To undo the taper lock, put a socket with extension on the front crank bolt.
    Give it a good smack or two with a 5 pound hammer and it will come apart.

    Thanks for all the feedback guys.

    I am going to just put it all back together and use something to catch the oil.

    Stripping to get to the gaskets seems like too much effort from your comments above.

    I have a RG3200i that also need a bit of TLC.

    Anyone advice on who can help menin the Pretoria Moot area?

    Generator running but seem to have carburetor/ fuel starvation issues. Even under Low load the engine goes up and down consistently...

    I need a place that can check and service carburetor please
