Question Mahindra XUV500 - Oil leak (Timing chain cover & sump)

    Hi Forum

Any experts here experience oil leaks at the timing chain cover area and sump on your XUV500?

This is now the 6th time I've taken the vehicle in at Mahindra Bloem and prior to this, it was a weekly frustration taking it in for a few days and still having a leak, I basically get a car wash on a weekly basis but oil leak still persists.

I included my latest photos to this thread, why they used black spray paint baffles me (PS: oil is still new and clear), or maybe they trying to hide something?

The quality of work here also looks very unprofessional.

Yes still under warranty until mid Oct 2024 ( But they cant seem to address the oil leak issue)

They rebuilt engine at 70 000km 2 months back (Previous owner over heated the engine)

    2019 XUV500 W8 A/T
    Currently on about 73000km

Thumbs up Re: Mahindra XUV500 - Oil leak (Timing chain cover & sump)

Right that is a help. The oil leak is probably due to the engine rebuild, can be a warped block ect.Return the vehicle with a paper trail of the history, expect a loan car and let them get on with fitting a new engine.

Thanks for the advice, problem is they told me there isn't a loaner vehicle available and that the block had already been skimmed on the top

The leak is their problem, how long you had the vehicle?
