Swartberg Pass is beautiful but so is Meiringspoort. Prins Albert is a lovely town to visit, as is Matjiesfontein.
Another worthwile place to spend some time is the Valley of Desolation.

Hi all,
I'm going to be driving from Cape Town to Johannesburg in early December. The wife and I have decided to take 5 days to do the trip and we would like to make the most of our time by getting in some proper scenic roads, heritage sights and places of interest like caves and viewpoints. Coming from Zim, I don't have much knowledge of the area so very open to suggestions.
I've had a look at Mountain Passes SA but there are so many to choose from! Our thinking is to maximize our time in the WC before smashing the last leg to JHB over 2 days.
Swartberg Pass looks like a great route and I would like to visit the Cape Agulhas.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
