Proposed new mining activities along West Coast 4x4 eco trail

It has come to my attention that a new mining company has applied for permission to mine along the West Coast 4x4 eco trail in the immediate area of Brand se Baai along the West Coast. This is in addition to the current mining activities already in the area but this will focus on diamond mining in certain spots between the low and high tide marks, i.e, right on the beach.

This will be bad news for those who love the tranquility of those parts of the West Coast and travel, fish and camp along this area. Please note that the closing date for objections is 22 July 2024.
