Nomadic Gear double drawer

Our new design double drawer system is done.

1400mm fully extendable slides that lock in and out. The bolts are hidden on the sides to prevent other gear packed on the side from damage. 12mm plywood top to keep the weight down. Moveable dividers that bolt to the drawer to keep secure. We also have a new mounting system that makes the drawer very universal and easy to fit and remove when not needed.

This one went out to "Dirk se dorp" this morning. Awaiting feedback from customer.

This big truck pulled up this morning and dropped a parcel, few hours later I had had time to tackle it. Unwrapped it and immediately got it into the back.

Securing the drawer using the Navara built in rails make it is breeze to secure with no drilling required.

I still need to fit the handles and the side planks then it will be done.

Edit: I moved the two dividers forward, and it fits 4 cub ammo boxes in the rear, with the divider keeping them from moving. This is going to be awesome, 8 cubs in the drawers is a lot of storage space.

Nice. Dawie test fitted it in my Navara . It really looked great but obviously I couldn’t keep it. Maybe one day.

Thanks. About 120kg all in with the side wings to cover the loadbin from side to side. The biggest culprit is the slides at 30kg for the pair. Unfortunately that is the trade-off for drawers that can handle 120kg at full extension of 1,4m while locking in and out.

Cutting down on weight will compromise the structural integrity. Especially with drawers that can handle 120kg each.

How easy it is to remove as i dont want it permanent in the bakkie. Will a 40l wngel fridge fit on top? Obvious with a slider that drops the fridge lower

We have a new mounting system. The first install is a bit tedious and thereafter it is about 10 minutes to remove or install.

40lt Engel will fit on top. Total height of drawer system is about 300mm.
