I've only ever heard of some issues on the Prado 120. Also remember that the Prado 150 has a completely different engine (VVT-i etc).

Specs: 202 kW of power (at 5600 rpm) and 381 Nm of torque

I can get close to 9 km/L on the open road and can get to 10 with a bit of effort.

If the small things that are mentioned are taken care of it is a very capable and reliable SUV for not a lot of money.

Head gasket on the 120 Prado 4l rarely went below 300 000 km. It is also not a prohibitively expensive exercise based on the value of the vehicle. One of the vehicles in a fleet that I managed went at 350k km and it cost R45k at Toyota

Download the My Toyota app, enter the VIN, this will give you access to the service history, if done by Toyota.
Have to agree with this. My Prado (bought with 120k km on the clock) needed a new turbo at 140 000km. Fully serviced by Toyota and seemingly otherwise well looked after.

If I had to buy one again (big if), it would be a V6.

My apologies.

Enige Pajero is n waardige alternatief.
