Default 215/80/R15 - Will they fit?

Hi All, as per the title, will these tyres fit on a stock gen4 with no lift or spacers?

Has anyone fitted this size on their Jimny (Gen4)?

I do not mind trimming some plastic here and there to get rid of rubbing, and i'm also not against using spacers. I just am not too keen on a lift kit.

Wow, this is a huge jump from the stock 195/80/R15! So a 10% bigger tyre fits without modifications, and is able to be driven offroad without contacting the body or suspension bits even at full articulation?! That's almost hard to believe o.o

That looks like a typo. 215/80R15 is the biggest you can fit without trimming.

    Not a Typo.

I also know of a couple of Guys running 235/75/15 Grabbers.
Did Piesangkloof last weekend. No rubbing. Standard Suspension, nothing trimmed.

They look good! Were you alone in the vehicle or was it fully loaded with passengers as the extra weight may cause some rubbing?

Firstly, there is no such size. The size you are thinking of is 235/75R15.
I speak from experience, they rub. Not much but they rub.

Ok, I see now what's going on, Corrected, Don't know where I got the 80 and 85 from.

Which 235's did you run, and where did they rub ?

I personally had Grabber X3 235/75R15's and with a Des Sol 50mm lift, I rubbed on full lock on my mudflaps and hooked on my front bumper under compression. Quickly rectified with removing mudflaps and replacement bumper. I also had spacers fitted.

Did you experience the Rubbing with or without the Spacers fitted ?

Will cross axle my Jimny on a ramp later today and see what the clearance looks like.

With spacers, all rubbing was when I had a fair amount of steering angle on. So on trails and full lock when reversing out of a parking etc.

Ok, So with Spacers fitted will explain your Rubbing. Your Scrub radius were/are pushed out by the thickness of your spacers.
Assuming you have the run of the mill 32mm spacers fitted your Front wheel will move forward and backwards a fair bit as you turn your wheels.
