I would be chuffed but surprised if we could win India.
I think everyone felt like that at last years CWC, when India ended up losing just 1 match, the final.

Hopefully the Proteas make it into the final and come up against a team like India where no one is giving them a chance to win. Choke tag applies when you are the favorites. Maybe they need a match which is seen as not really possible to win.

Bangladesh had to beat Afghani in 12.1 overs to have a better run rate - they are pretty much out - well that is according to radio.

I don't think we have the fire power.

We have bowlers sitting in 11th, 13th and 14th position in the logs and batsman at 6th, 16th and 20th.

We have scraped through against mediocre opponents.

The thing with 20/20 is that if you go out and set a great total, you are generally in with shout. If we have to defend 200 with bowlers you could not make the top 10 then we will do well to win.

    Chocking asides that is.

As far as Afghanistan is concerned, not too bad for a country that can only put 76000 bums on seats in total in their country as far as stadiums are concerned. The FNB stadium can seat 94000, Loftus 50000 odd, Cape Town 50000 odd.

The old DL spanner came onto play, and they were on the right side of the equation!!

India have aggressive batsmen, I think they will give England a great game.

Difficult to call, we should beat Afghanistan, but many a slip twixt cup and lip.

Some general rules for the Proteas semi final that you should know:

    - In case of rain, 10 overs in the 2nd innings will constitute a match (not 5)
    - There is a reserve day should it be required
    - Should both days be rained out, the Proteas will progress having topped their group

But we have defended scores of 113, 115, 194 and 163 in the last 4 games that we had to field second.

We should be able to defend anything the Afghans throw at us.

If they go to a rain day, does the match start over or is it just completed?

I think the match continues until the allotted additional 250mins is used up: https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/t...africa-1440828

Typically, its a new match on the reserve day, but in this case there is no definitive answer in the article.

Unbelievable bowling, with a bit of help from an up and down pitch.

Glad I woke up for that.
