    Default Vehicle Replacement

    Hi everyone,

Looking at having to replace my current Nissan Navara, I am looking for any recommendations or leads for a good 4x4 vehicle between R350 000 and R400 000. Not really brand loyal, but I seem to have owned more Nissan's in my life so far

I would prefer a double cab, but open to a SUV option as well, although I have never owned one and dont really need a bakkie, but it is nice to have. We do camp regularly with a roof top tent, enjoy regular game drives, and always take the 4x4 route or gravel road when available as an option.

I am not going to jump on to the bandwagon and promote specific vehicles. Every other person will and will then try and convince you why what they are driving is the only solution for you.

    Try the following:
    Go to Autotrader
Filter by price, 4x4 and your preference of fuel and transmission type
Filter by SUV / Bakkie to see what is available in each

Check list of brands / variants and start making a list of vehicles you would prefer

Once you have a list do some investigation (specially long term reviews, common problems, etc.). This is a good place to start:

Narrow down your list of vehicles and then ask for owner experience. It is a tedious but rewarding process

Hi Ren, I am doing that as well, just looking to be open to some alternatives I might have missed

    .
I am driving my 3rd Nissan. A Navara single cab.
I hear your statement about not really being brand loyal, but although I have looked at Isuzu, and can't afford a Toyota, I always seem to stay with Nissan.
My personal experience is the hassle free motoring over thousands of kilometres over many many years.
I met some crazy people.... They made me their leader.
