Default Solved: High idle - 2016 BiTdi

Edit 20 July: I tightened the loose battery terminals and all is well.
Back to normal - I believe the alternator was struggling to charge (or something) and the idle was adjusting to compensate.

    Morning all

Last few weeks I've noticed the Amarok idles at 900rpm in general, but after a drive (when warmed up) it hangs around 1000/1100 rpm.

Is this normal? It's been a while since my last diesel.

It depends on a few things, one of which where it is in the regen cycle. Since I removed the dpf on my V6 it idles much more consistent. It only varies when the aircon is activated. When cold it actually idles faster until operating temp is reached, then slows down to 900rpm.
