    Default Amarok 2L to 3L V6 conversion?

Hi, can anyone offer advice on the prospect of converting a 2L 400TDI 132kw CNEA (manual) Amarok to a 3L V6 Amarok? One might ask or suggest that it would be simpler to sell it and buy a V6? Great suggestion however, the reason behind it is that I currently have a single cab 2L manual, there is no single cab in a V6. The 2L is fine most of the time, however, I do a fair amount of heavy towing and could really do with the extra power. I need the single cab arrangement for work.
i cant seem to find any information anywhere regarding this particular conversion. There doesnt seem to be anything available is Australia as a single cab chassis with a decent amount of power. The 2L really struggles once it has a 2T + load on the back. Driving wise it tows fine as in the handling aspect,. but when it comes to hills the engine performance is somewhat lacking.
    Any suggestions appreciated

No idea, but I cannot see it costing anything under R200k.

You are going to need a donor V6 Amarok as you will need engine, gbox, harness, suspension, brakes, fuel supply etc.

Then also possibly propshaft, side shafts and diff.

Conversions rarely pay off, financially speaking.
But, okay, the single cab would be unique.
I would only consider it if your engine died.

Also, given that it is a single cab, with an autobox from the V6 means you will probably need to customise the length of the propshaft.
Integrating the harness into the bakkie I suspect will be a challenge.
Just the components before labour will make this prohibitively expensive.

It may be cheaper to buy the V6 second hand, cut the chassis shorter and mount a single cab body on top!
In Australia it is popular to chop and extend chassis. So it is possible.

    Anything is possible

The easiest will probably be to find a rolled 3L and swap your body onto it

It might just be better to get a Land Cruiser or Hilux.

I can't see where you're from, but why don't you try Benson first. I bet he can tune your 2L into a much more acceptable engine performance.

You haven't got much to loose compared to the cost of the conversion.

With cars, everything is doable. Just depend on how big your wallet is.

I am not sure why you reference Australia but quoting "There doesnt seem to be anything available is Australia as a single cab chassis with a decent amount of power."

Some may agree with me here, but a Toyota 70 V8 loves to work hard, but it may not be the most comfortable

With enough money anything is possible. Before you go down this road why not explore getting more power out of the current engine with a better exhaust/turbo/remap. If it blows up you are no worse off than before going down the conversion route.

Out of what car is that box?

Lots of different 4motion boxes available for VW models.
