Take a zip lock bag, chuck in two raw eggs, some grated cheese, spring onions, maybe a little salami or ham.

Mix, get as much air out of bag as you can, close bag

Put bag in pot with water and bring to the boil, while you are making coffee.

Around 10-12 minutes. Delicious egg roll.

Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

Muesli.....quick, easy and no prep work either.....grab an apple on the way out too. It's also a lekker snack anytime you get peckish

On relaxing holidays we'll make nice brunch instead but on most trips we are there to do/see stuff so we like to be out the door early.

Our variation on this was a follows.
Place on the table whatever could work in a "Jiffy Omelette":
    • Eggs
    • Fried bacon.
    • Fried onion.
    • Fried mushrooms.
    • Fried green bell peppers.
    • Diced ham.
    • Sliced polony.
    • Grated cheese.
    • Diced tomato.
    • Left-over boerewors, steak etc.

Have a large pot of rapidly boiling water ready.
Everybody packs their own Jiffy bag with their favourite goodies, including salt, pepper, paprika, Tabasco etc.
Add a scrubbed river pebble (to make it sink ).

    Boil to taste.

Even eggs can become a problem with prolonged exposure to 40deg+
They take up a lot of space in the fridge, so I store them in a cooler bag to protect them from ambient heat, but even that has its limitations
