    Default Pajero selling market quiet?

    So
As the title says, I have been trying to sell my 2015 Pajero Sport Shogun and have not had 1 enquiry.
It's priced right, not over priced at all.
I'm not prepared to lower it to a silly selling price. I'm not desperate to sell.
Anyone else trying to sell and not getting any bites?

As soon as you start modifying a vehicle, the market for re-sale becomes allot smaller, it's a specific buyer. Stock vehicles move quicker, that's my experience. Allot of buyers think (and some are correct) - that modded vehicles have had a very hard life.

What platforms are you advertising on?

I tried the usual ones, autotrader, cars.co.za, the classifieds on this fourm, to see if I can find it and it does not come up.

Fair enough, my vehicle fortunately is well looked after, and not treated badly or driven hard.
    But thanks for the advice.

If its not selling, that means it is priced incorrectly.

I have seen it advertised.. Saw the advert, looked at price, mileage, color... and moved on without thinking about it twice. I personally do not think the color is desirable.

Get "we buy cars" to come make an offer.
That will give you an indication of how viable your price is.

But that branding is a definite put-off

Also agree, the branding is not doing it any justice.

How easy is it to remove the branding?

Maybe try advertising it without the branding on the side

compared to similar models on auto trader, you are advertising at around R 20k below what second hand dealers are asking.

Perhaps widen you advertising net past facebook ( you will be surprised how many people are not on it- especially in the 40 to 60 year old group)

also maybe take off the branding, as the branding suggests it might be a business vehicle

I would remove the branding , have it PROPERLY valeted & well photographed , then try & advertise it again

The branding is very easy to remove.
I'll definitely do that when I get a chance and retake the pics.

    Good luck with the sale.
Don't mean to derail the actual topic, I am just curious to know where did you get the bonnet guard, wind deflectors, and where did you get those rims painted?

The bonnet guard and wind deflectors came with it when I bought it.
The rims are painted with Rustoleum Peel Coat. So.easy to do and easy to remove.

Will agree that you must advertise wider than Facebook because our older generation does not search on facebook, we are still stuck on the computers and there are a lot of us looking for that kind of vehicle's. Facebook definately exclude a wide range of older buyers. Not me only. Over December my son showed me vehicle's on facebook only and I nearly bought one of them. But personally I never search there.
Good luck and do the changes as suggested.

It's a pity. I have the same vehicle, but not as kitted as yours

Would like the roof rack and nudge bar and spots on mine, as soon as it gets back from the panelbeaters .

Where did you get the hexagon window protection on the rear most windows?

As others have already said - remove decals, get a proper valet, take really good pictures..
Then advertise on cars.co.za and/or autotrader. Far more likely to get some bites.

Also i believe that light bar is illegal, according to some other threads - may want to remove it (no clue if it helps or hurts the sale at all though)
Include key words like "full service history" etc if you havent already (haven't seen the facebook post).

My guess is that by default you'll get less interest than a sale from a dealer due to it being a cash sale. Even dealer ones of the exact model are more likely to sell even if they are more expensive, because few people have that cash on hand.
