Default 2004 BMW R1200GS Fuel Pump leak

    Hi All

My bike developed a fuel leak at the fuel pump quick connector - seems to be a common issue.

I know overseas the guys have brass coated replacements as attached -was wondering if anyone has fitted them -any issues and where the were sourced? Does anyone locally stock them?

There was a recall on the air cooled R1200 BMW's.

Check with your local dealer if yours was done.

In fact I'd just take it in and ask them to fix. If the workshop foreman is any worth he should be able to claim it - this is a known problem on all those models.

I acquired a 2006 HP2 Enduro last year with a similar problem, took it to East Rand BMW and they fixed it. Even replaced the fuel pump FOC.

the recall was for a leak on the pump iirc.

This looks like you need a fuel quick coupling. The right one has some specific code. I am trying to search what it is....then possible via online shopping to source
