Default First time buyer used bike. What to look for?

So it looks like I'm settling for a 2022 Honda 150L
Its from a young guy in George. Only 900km on the clock. I don't believe it's been to it's first service though.
They are asking 35k with 3k helmet hardly used.
    Registration and disk all match.

I know a bit about cars but next to nothing about bikes.
Are there any major things I should lookout for? Being a modest 150cc 4 stroke single cylinder should it smoke a little on start up? Should it start first kick and idle smooth straight off the bat?

If there are any bikers in George with know how happy to pay for some on site expertise.

    Many thanks!

Smoke on start-up means either your choke is on/stuck, or oil overfilled.
That Honda 150 motor is a overhead valve engine and is almost bullet proof.

    Fuel consumption should be 35 - 40 km/l.

    Does it idle high?

To my knowledge it's still a carburettor fed motor?

Haven't seen it yet. Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday.
    It's carburetor fed.

is this the XR 150L ?

4 strokes shouldnt really smoke at all

With only 900km and being a 2022 model - is this correct? I dont know anybody who will ride so little , even in george - hell most people will put that on in a week

i would start checking out if the deal is real and genuine, and there and not worry bout much else, honda motors are good and strong

if all checks out, try get another 5k down, then its a good deal .

Is it for you ? a 150 to go to the shop and back ? rather get a normal bike that you peddle , its even cheaper

Was actually thinking of doing the Dakar on this.
I mean I see a lot of these 150k bmw / KTV bikes just going to the shops and back. My thinking is why waste so much on your tax right off.
