    Default Any experience with KweBeam?

    Hi all

I've been looking at different stand alone wireless beam system options and heard about KweBeam.

So far in my head the front runner has been RoboGuard, they have a good reputation, has been on the market for a long time, can be encorperated in to a larger alarm / security system at a later stage and then a small for some, but very nice and important feeture for me is the audible beeps the unit makes when a beam is tripped, even if the alarm isn't armed.

KweBeams looks like something very similar, it's also similarly priced as Roboguard with almost similar detection range and wireless communication range.

One nice advantage with it over Roboguard in my opinion, is that every beam has its own built in alarm siren. From what I've read online I'm not quite sure if all sirens will sound if a beam trips, but I know if you press the panic button all sirens will sound, which will make for a hell of a racket all around your property.
It also looks like the KweBeams have pretty jacked up anti tamper and anti masking feetures, where I'm not sure how good the Roboguard is with this.
The Kwebeam also use standard AA batteries which will apparently mean much cheaper battery replacements, but from what I read how long Roboguard batteries last, I think this is a non issue.

Then there's the nice and important feeture for me, the audible beeps you can get from the Roboguard HQ if a beam gets tripped, I don't yet know if the KweBeams can do this.

I plan to start out with 4 units, but will probably expand the system later, Roboguard can go up to 8 beams on the same system, KweBeam can go up to 32, it also looks like KweBeam is a lot more flexible in terms of different zones, bypassing zones etc. you can have each beam on a different zone or multiple beams per zone.

Any experience with the KweBeam product, anyone using them?
