It looks like Toyota USA is relying on the name to make sales, because the USA market already has a 4Runner, Sequoia and Lexus GX. The new 'Prado' Landcruiser is a replacement for the Landcruiser 200 ?

So wait, this is supposed to be a Prado? It is a complete departure from the current Prado styling then. It looks way more like the cruiser, even size-wise.

I'm interested in what these silhouette's were, especially the one on the left. That to me looks closer to a Prado or even possibly an FJ.

Its all speculation at the moment wrt what we will be getting here but it seems that we will follow Australia and according to one journo they will not be getting the 2.4 - that will be very disappointing if its the case!!

That would be a genius move... Triton's looking more boxy as well...

Out of the GWM Tank, Prado/Lexus GX, (new and old) Defender, Grenadier and new KIA Sportage/Sorrento (I forget which), I think Toyota has the best execution so far but boxy still isn't as good as the 300, 200, Pajero, Range Rover, Patrol and Disco 2, 3 and 4

And if you like boxy, the 70 series still looks the best...

Strange that they have stuck with the current, lower outputs of the 2.8 being 150 / 500 and not the higher rated version already on sale in a Hilux. The mind boggles.

May be its also much lighter, effectively making it more powerful in principle.

At R1.3m if not more, Prado will be the flagship Toyota product to use the 2.8 so it makes absolutely no sense that they are not using the most powerful version of that motor in it. Yet a Hilux gets the flagship 2.8. Very confusing.
