The 2.8 already offers 165kw/550nm in certain states of tune. Add a bit of battery power to that, as has been slated, then figures of around 180kw/600nm are easily achievable one would think. If Toyota can get a decent power band, it will offer plenty of performance.

Strange that they have stuck with the current, lower outputs of the 2.8 being 150 / 500 and not the higher rated version already on sale in a Hilux. The mind boggles.

This, to me, is an FJ replacement, and not a Prado. Evident by the continued reference to “Land Cruiser” only and the various “grades”

Land Cruiser only grades are the USA spec as this will be the only Land Cruiser badged product on offer there... They currently don't get the 70-Series, 300 or Current Prado there.

Afhangend van die gewig gaan die diesel nie 'n lekker trek nie, maar die petrol hybrid kan dalk 'n wenner wees.

2024 in SA. Although both models copy some design elements from you know who, I think both look great. I am however not a fan of the ssang yong curve that Toyota copied to the Fortuner and now to these.

We are also going to see prices north of R1.2m for the 70 and R1.4m for Prado.
