Another thing is if your PV and AC Jointly is not enabled and You have a spike, You will get a EPS Overload alert and Your inverter will switch off for around 5-mins

What is the purpose of Earth/Neutral bonding like this on the output? I ask as i have just recently finished installing a SNA5000 and Dyness A48100.

    Thank you!

For all other Luxpower guys on here, Spiceydave has also orchestrated that the quick charge button is on the mobile app as well. If you do not see it, update your app. You can also now see if Grid Power is available on the mobile app that was previously only on the web portal. As it stands, other than statistics, you not need to visit the web portal very often.

Although I do like the fact that the web portal shows the PV per string. Mobile app just shows the PV total.

I used to have that from the get go? You just needed to tap on the battery on the screen and the info popped up underneath?

I logged into the web portal, but do not see the SOC graph. Is there a setting on the web that needs to be enabled?

    Hi all,

I have a Luxpower 5kva inverter and 2x CFE batteries.
Does the below profile look weird to you, in terms of:
    1) battery SOC leakage when not being used in the afternoon?
    2) the downward spikes to 0% SOC between 2am and 6am?
I will post the second screenshot of settings in the next post.

Here are the screenshots of the settings in the system.
If anyone is able to provide some advice/guidance on how to improve this situation that would be appreciated.

Have you investigated firmware updates on both the batteries as well as the inverter, to see if that makes a difference?

I have the same. (5kw SNA and 2 CFE Bats).

The drop to zero SOC is concerning. Never seen that but aware of complaints that some of the older CFE bats that do that. As already mentioned, you would have to get the SmartBes App loaded and working and then get CFE to run the firmware updates from China. Otherwise the batteries will have to be taken to the distributor to assist with same.

The Soc "leakage" in the afternoon is also a CFE thing. It will start to slowly discharge the batteries once it has reached 100%, down to 90%. Happens on mine as well. Frustrating as I may enter the night at 90% soc due to the involuntary discharging. CFE claims this is a maintenance feature. From powerforum I understand some have managed to get it to discharge to "only" 95% (instead of 90%) via firmware updates.

    Yip, need a firmware update

Another thing, what battery protocol are You running ?

If on Lux then change it to Pylon as that is CFE own recommendation and see as the Lux protocol force a battery discharge ...

You can very quickly see that on the "Data" tab. Look at the specific time and see if You have a 0x11 event ...

It has been a struggle hey.... Used grid extensively for the past three days. Only getting about 6kwh per day from panels, max....

I set it up to use grid during the day but that the batteries are charged via solar. It has not been managing to get the batts full-full but at least close to 90%. And then I have used grid at particular times during the evenings as well...

Nothing like thick cloudy weather to bring us back to earth. I will need a genny in case of a full blackout and this type of weather for longer than a day.

    Ou grapgat.....

We started off with just an inverter and a battery and only added panels around April or May this year. Not considering the first few weeks of getting to know the system and constantly changing the settings this was the first time that we actually used more grid power than solar per day - excluding stove and geyser which are not on the inverter.

We only have 1 battery and it was only charged to 84% yesterday, but 100% full today with some pv going to loads during the day - 4kwh for the day compared to yesterday`s 1.5kwh

Alternative backup is definitely something to consider for worst case scenario.

Checking Energy Charges by Utility against Lux App Data

First a big shout out to SpiceyDave for all the assistance with inverter set up. Thanks Heinrich. Unfortunately the installer may have been brilliant in installation execution, but falls well short on technical savvy.
I really thought COJ was ripping me off when doing a comparison, until I realized I had 2 inverters
I wondered if others have done this comparison?
