I don't like or dislike vehicle on 'looks' only.
    (I don't see the looks when I drive! )
The specs weigh much more in my evaluation.

What I see regarding spec on the new Triton, makes it very desirable for me IAC.

To be fair, no Triton model would ever have won a competition based on aesthetics!

As such the new one in my opinion is not bad looking.

It at least does not have the same uglyness as when the first of the new hilux generation came out with that strange overbite look..This is by no means that ugly, just boring
The interior and side view i really like.I can see the back seats also look very nice and sporty.
The engine output is also not bad and knowing them it will kick some ass in real terms performance
I think the only reason most are dissapointed is that we all know the triton deserves more attention but many people buy on looks so i recon its a struggle for sales again with this one.

The longer I look, the more I like it... dare I say even with that odd orange grille...

    Same with the current model.

I have noticed that if there's a new model of whatever make coming out and it's an immediate stunner, then that model ages very quickly.

But on the other hand, designs that take time getting used to, they age a bit better.

Much better! They need you to come work for them !

Seriously though, that front end needs to be changed.

How can almost all of agree on such a subjective point, and yet their design team couldn't pick up that it's such an abomination.

They should have done a poll on this forum first!

The interior is very nice and gets a lot of positive feedback. It probably has one of the best integrated rear bumpers on a bakkie. I really don't like the Hilux poop-scoop rear bumper, the Isuzu's rear bumper also does not flow well.

There are also a couple of aftermarket steel bumpers in the video that look good on the Triton. Click image for larger version.

It is also grown up quite a bit. It is a fraction smaller than the Ranger in all dimensions apart from the width. I can't believe that it is slightly wider than the Ranger. It is also wider, longer and has a longer wheel base than the Hilux.

The only drawback I can "see" is the lack of Mitsu dealers in some areas. And this is a long-standing problem - not particular to this model. Which I would buy in a heartbeat. Looks very, very LEKKER to me. I am sure it will perform well too.

I was slightly underwhelmed at first, but having watched the video I'm liking it.

They nailed the interior, I love absence of obscenely large screens. I like the mixture of digital and old school instruments, I like the tradional handbrake.

Engine, I think they could've given us a bit more, but knowing these engines it will perform better than the paper stats suggest.

What I'm seeing is a vehicle that should be affordable. I think Mitsubishi have a clear strategy hear to provide a reliable and affordable high quality product that doesn't necessarily try to rewrite the book.

Overall, I think with some exterior design tweaks (that grille is no good ) it will look great.

I watched this "silent movie" of a higher spec in dark metallic gray. I like it and the front end looks good in this video. My wife actually said she sees a bit of New Defender in the boxy front end and she likes it.

Don't like the tablet stick on dash things you see these days in couple of vehicles . dont mind a high resolution screen integrated into the dash and it does not have to humungus.

As an import it might do better in aus then compared to our local manufactured bakkies.

A step up from previous triton and maybe it is capable and reliable after all

It seems there's a market for vinyl wrapping on that grille, MrG.
