So you liked the previous more curved squinty look of the Triton? The one that was more appealing to the long pants and dun trill brigade? (according to you?)

No! The Jimny is square with a hip attitude. The blocky oversized American style of bakkies/trucks is more relatedly to "do you want to oversize that?"

You don't do logic, do you? Pay attention: I was talking about the new Triton, not the old one.

PS.The old one was fugly and I think it cost Mits dearly. Pity, the Triton and Pajero are great vehicles.

PPS. Seems I hit a nerve there? Was it with the "boxy looks" part or the "dik tril" part?

OK, enough fun with this. You can reply and then we can move on. Sometimes a vehicle looks better in real life than in pictures. Let's hope this is so with the new Triton. Unlike the Jeep bakkie, which looked OK in pictures but in real life it looks like it was made by those guys who salvage scrap from the rubbish dumps.

One thing about mitsus, and even toyota and isuzu is they age well..The new ford design is already aging for me.Weird but the previous raptor looks beter to me than the new one.
This new one has potential but lets see end of july when it launches what it looks like in the flesh. At least its not shockingly bad design as the previous 2

Good power from that 2.4. The launch was earlier today. Link at the bottom. Click image for larger version.

I like the look from every angle except the front. It feels like a after thought.I think they got it wrong again
    The interior looks decent
Open the photo and put your finger in front of the front grill so you cant see it..The lines on the bakkie look good and everything looks damn butch, until you see that stupid front grill again.

Jip, I won't tick the option for the body colored grill.

Looks much better in darker colours.

The lower front bumper black also makes no sense
Now i glad I bought my new sport and did not wait for this.Maybe if they launch a gen2 facelift of this one they might get it right. But for me this is not the front end it deserved. The rest looks good though..SIgh

Luckily the lower bumper black is only on the Athlete version. The lower spec does not have it. The chrome "shield" is the first thing I will get rid of. I doubt we will see it locally before 2025 in any case, even 2026 looking at Mitsubishi SA's track record.

Doesn't look good at all. Looked at all of the pics in the links and the front doesn't look good on any of the models shown.

Ja, I'm also a bit disappointed with this to be honest. This is barely catching up with the current Ford, Amarok, Toyota etc. By the time this launches in SA all the other makes will be another step ahead again.

Maybe the looks will grow on me, only time will tell. But at the moment, the only feeling I have towards this is disappointment

Ek dink dit het nogal baie te doen met die ligte. Hierdie hedendaagse modegier waar al die ligte so rond en bont versprei word is net weird.

The front is very disappointing, maybe a replacement bumper will make it look better. We will have to wait to see how it performs on the road but I don't think it has improved enough compared to the competition, it looks like it has only just caught up to them.
