    Default Water Parasite (?) ID

Sorry if not the correct place to post this.
I found this thing in a water stream up in the Cedarberg mountains. I'd say about 8cm long and very thin, almost the width of a hair.
    Some kind of parasite?

I really don't know anything about parasites, but that looks kinda like those parasites that invade grasshoppers and praying mantis and force them to water?

    Apparently called "horsehair worms".
