I would hesitate to drive anything I own there. Those are some of the worst roads I have ever seen. At least if the rental breaks it's not your baby and you don't have to try and source parts at exorbitant costs and rely on someone without the skills to try and fix it. While they are a nation of amazing people, friendly and helpful, excellence is not a shining feature there. That combined with their culture of saying what they think a person wants to hear rather than what is would seriously discourage me from taking anything from here that can break down in a major way. You will be in for a level of frustration that you didn't imagine even existed. I vote for renting.
