I see some dealers got their stock.
    Any indications on pricing yet?

    I'm liking the look.
It has some good, relevant tech inside.
    Price is amazing.

I would take this for a test drive just out of curiosity.
Engine stats are a bit low, but shall see real world feel.

If the engine is anything like the engine in the bakkie or the old Scorpio you will be hella surprised.

I see the 2wd Scorpio is rear wheel drive. Which is great especially for towing. The competitors (Xtrail, Sportage, Tucson) are all front wheel drive and they tend to loose traction on the front wheels when towing.

The 2wd Scorpio does not come with the mechanical diff lock but the 4x4 does. The current Scorpio does not come with diff lock.

What is the ground clearance, breakover angle and front and rear departure angles compared to the current Scorpio?

I believe with these specs, it is a Fortuner, Everest, MU-X, PS competitor

The M-Hawk engine is incredible, honestly it was one of the best parts of my Pik-Up experience, with an additional 20 odd KW in this SUV it is going to surprise a few people with its performance.

Can anyone confirm if the 4x4 versions have low range? Didn't see it anywhere, might just have missed it.

PS. Found it. "Selectable 4X4 high and 4X4 low"

Very good value, and Mahindra has been around for a while now. If brands like Chery can sell this should do well especially with proper 4x4 credentials. The 2.2 MHawk seems like a well proven unit. The people I know who has bought Mahindra's with the 2.2 are all happy with them.

The mainstream brands are pricing themselves out of the market for average income folk so it's opening up the door to the value brands like Haval, Mahindra and Chery.

I hope they have a good supply of spares locally as even with known brands for eg.(Nissan,MItsubishi ) have a delay in supply. The Chinese brands are getting there ,just a matter of reliability and after sales,my opinion
