2005 RAV4 Custom Build - any advice?

Hi all,

I have a 2005 Rav4 that I am planning to build up to improve its off-road and overlanding performance. I have already put new OME suspension on which makes a big difference. I was wondering if anyone else has worked on a 2005 Rav (or similar old model Rav4) and has any advice or suggestions of what can be done and where to source parts? Thanks!

Why not buy something suitable to your needs instead?

You going to spend a lot of money and still not have a very capable vehicle, I'm thinking ground clearance, packing space ....
