Klink soos flywheel. 185kw op wiele is 220-230kw op flywheel.

We develop our base maps on the dyno and with road logging.
So we know what changes to make to the ecu to achieve certain things.

So if you want power / economy / towing we can custom it for your purpose.

Our stage 1 is the best of both worlds between power and economy.

Does that mean that the vehicles are not always dyno tested after being remapped?

    Correct yes.
Believe it or not, a dyno is not the be all in tuning.
We do a throurough check on the car, diagnostics and adjusting some calibrations via the diag as well.
We check load, boost ( actual vs requested) via road road logs.

That said. If you want dyno figures before and after, i am more than happy to do that with the tune.

Do you check AFR and EGT values while you tune ?

Depending on what it is you need. Yes.

For a normal stage 1 I very rarely need to check these because of the parameters we work with.
Safe and reliable is our biggest concern.

This is a hilux I did a few weeks ago, without a dyno. Customer was super excited to see the difference that he was already feeling.
And this is the curve the Dyno gave him.
Perfect, if I say so myself.

Again, even though we provide expected figures, this is not what we mainly focus on, the drivability, where the power is available and what you want to do with that power is what makes us different in the game.

If you're just chasing numbers, we are happy to play with that, but we are more concerned about giving you what you need, and making sure that when you do go on that loooong trip, that you can drive it back as well.

When you start asking for stage 2 + and stage 3, which is taking you vehicle completely out our safe and reliable parameters, as there will also be a lot of hardware changes, we need aditional information yes. Click image for larger version.

    Hilux 3.0l D4-d
Customer was complaining about reduced power and really bad fuel consumption.
We ended up removing two uni chips from the bakkie, blanked the EGR and tmdid a nice Stage 1 eco map on it.
Even with the eco map the bakkie pulls better and is more responsive..
Looking forward to the fuel consumption figures.. Click image for larger version.

I think I have found the one that beat me.

So we have a done a few Ranger's, mapping and EGR blank / cooler delete.
And yes it is a difficult and time consuming job, but you can get to everything if you bent like a contortionist...

Booked in this beautiful Everest Yesterday. Now I know their ECU tends to fall asleep unless you keep the charge right up there. So hooked up everything and got a read before we started tackling the hardware.

OMW there is just no space to work in there, the firewall is right up to the engine.

You can get to only half the bolts on either side of the engine bay to do anything. Unless you start stripping intakes and alternators.

The owner was very worried, but patient and fairly understanding, which helped a whole lot. So after a chat we decided to do the software and CAT hardware delete only.

For future reference, on the Everest's, looks like it's engine out to work on the EGR... Even the manual says so

    3.0l d4d done in Vereeniging.
Amazing what a nice tune does for these engines.
More responsive through the gear, the torque is just at the spots low down and cruising on the highway.
