Essentially, chips modify and suppress signals before they reach the computer. These signals are used ,amongst other things, to safeguard the engine with safe parameters.

You "could" remove all the safeties built in with a chip.

    Hello Benson,

Do you know if local Scorpion-N's have dpf/cat fitted. I will attach photos of mine and one from AUS. The AUS one seem to have sensors on the exhaust which mine has none.

Would like to know what you think as well as possible remapping etc.

Howzit that would be he CAT model, not the DPF. Auz has the DPF.

And yes we do a stage 1 on the Scorpio
Gains are 15kW and 60-80 Nm.
Highly suggest to delete and blank the EGR and remove the CAT.

    Hello Benson,

Do you do just EGR blank off/removal without any tuning (yet...)? This is for a Ford Ranger 2020 (3.2).

    Kind regards

Yes we can, but when we do the EGR blank on the 3.2 / 2.2 we remove the whole cooler as well as the valve. So we have to do software regarding the EGR system.

A stage 1 is completely optional.

    Hello

I have a good deal on a 1994 Pajero V6 to buy, but obviously the petrol version is considerably heavier on fuel than the 3.2Did version. Is it worthwhile, economy wise, to do a Stage 1 map on a 1994 Pajero V6?

Not much we can do on a 1994 NA V6.

Just to verify, I have talked a few times via PM...
The Scorpio N can still only be done in Pretoria? (how long would the process take?)

This gorgeous Cayman came in for some yearly maintance, and off course a Stage 1 Remap.
    DeCAT exhaust in development.
And well, we are toying with the idea to convert this little monster into a Rally version.....

Sme egr and DPF issues on the Merc's!
And I am pretty proud of the Map we did on the Subaru, came in with O2 issues. (CAT FOOLERS ARE A LOAD OF S...) did a stage 1 and O2 delete, responsive and torquey!
BMW 420D stage 1 and CAT delete. We are doing a Downpipe next week.

    Not all Filters are equal....
Just a comparison between Oil Filters for a LandCruiser V8..
And why we prefer using Terrain Tamer parts for our Toyota Servicing.

F1FAN brought me his 2015 Ranger for an EGR cooler and Valve delete along with a stage 1 remap.
Oh golly that intake was rediculously clogged up, just again showing how bad the egr system is for our vehicles.
So we cleaned the intake, removed the egr system and had one little snag with a rubber gasket that pinched when we put the intake back, scary how much pressure these systems actaully have to take if you listen to that air suckling and leaking through that little space...

Downpipe on the 420d fitted! Took it for a quick dyno while we were at it...
Figures look good and the curve is just perfect for this 2.0l diesel

Only when necessary or if someone would like figures.

I still prefer road logs to get the information i need for mapping. And just prove my point, the 420d was mapped with road logging! I only took it for one power run to provide the curve and figures for the customer.

That said we are testing something new that will also give us before and after power gains with the road logs we do.

    Watch this space.

Geez that torque peaks early, and chokes out early too, almost like the turbo is too small. Nice figures though.

    Who's dyno is that BTW?

The purpose of where that torque curve peaks and dips is all to do with usable power. Diesels spend most of their time between 2000-3000 rpm.
