The audi decided friday on the way home that she needs a checkup.
Passed a lady on the road (literally 10km's from home) Revs wouldn't come down from 3000 and she wouldn't gear back up to 6/7 without manually doing it.
    Complete loss Of power.
Foot floored, smoke out the back next moment okay power, smoke gone foot back to normal smoke and no power. Limped home, no engine light.

Stop street pull away. Lots of smoke no power, then all of a sudden power and no smoke.

Left her over night, yesterday morning she starts but dies like within 5 seconds. And lots of smoke.

So, yesterday. I took the day to reading up, after two nights of sleeplessness I decided to pull out and blank & bypass the egr cooler and valve.

Was a bit of stripping, but nothing serious. And bloody hell, she starts first swing, idles smooth and you can actually hear that turbo working when you rev her up.

All sorted and she again drives like a dream.

There was no warning, no gradual difference that could be felt before this.

So again proof that this flippen emissions CAT/EGR/DPF is a load crap!

Luckily I was able to update the software to remove the EGR errors.

Will do the CAT sometime next week as well. Click image for larger version.

Welllll. My train of thought to fault find was
    MAF sensor
    MAP sensor,
    N75 valve
    Then EGR.
    Then blocked CAT
As the symptoms was not what I typically found with a Faulty EGR.

While was checking the sensors I thought I might as well remove the EGR while I'm busy cause I was gonna do later in any case.

HONESTLY, I got real lucky this time.

Ps. this was the errors yesterday morning.

I do still need to figure out what is wrong with the Fan.

And as the devil will have it! Jeep wrangler 3.8 V6, CAT were removed by previous owner, car is giving O2 sensor faults.
We did a stage 1 remap on it, removed the O2 from the system!

Hi Benson, I've been curious on this one as I'm thinking of getting you guys to do the same on my 5.7 GC, however wasn't sure due to the lower O2 sensors that will give a fault when the cats are removed. Do you have some way of bypassing this (cat foolers or so)?

    Pretoria had an interesting one.
Client brought in his Isuzu 3.0TD.
Was mapped by another company. But as he has made his way to us, he was not happy with the results.
They did a dyno on it and you could actually see the power loss after the peak.

So we put it on the dyno, got the before figures! And did our version of a stage 1.

The results as always! Speaks for itself. Click image for larger version.

CAT foolers belong at the SPCA.
No, we update the software regarding the O2 Sensor downstream of the CAT. The one upstream is essential to your AFR's

Had an interesting request after remapping the pops and bangs out of a 5.0 SC RRS.
    His screen stopped working.
So stripped it out, got a test unit from Mike...
    And all sorted.
Looks like these tend to just stop working as well.

Now to play with that map Click image for larger version.
