    Default Reflective Jackets

I've heard that we are now meant to also have at least one reflective jacket in the vehicle when travelling in Moz. Can anyone please confirm this or otherwise and is it supposed to just apply to SA tourists........
Sounds like another extortion racket to me as I just don't see the locals or cops having them. If now actually needed where do we get them? Cost?
Is there any actual legislation where this "good" word is written into law?

Does anyone know if this is a requirement in any other countries in the region?

When did this "strange" law become active?

When I was in Moz end April, some local Policemen harassed us for taking pictures when they happened to pass in front of us. After showing the all 400 photos on the camera, they then tried to harass me regarding a fire extinguisher. After a while he let us go (He with a cool drink in hand).

Is this fire extinguisher thing also law there now?

Not sure Mike, but at R50 each, it is most probably a good idea to have them anyway.

    Default Reflective Jacket

This requirement is actually stipulated in the Angolan traffic laws (par 48 or some such thing). You can buy the jacket at Afrox outlets at R16-50/each. Much cheaper than the fine and maybe not such a bad idea considering the abilities of your avarage moz driver!
