    Smile Chobe Forest Camp

    Hi all,

I recently went travelling to Botswana and stayed at Chobe Forest Camp, close to Kasane. I just wanted to let everyone know what an amazing find this place was. They have luxury tented camps as well as a private campsite, and the wildlife found there were absolutely beautiful. It is the ideal 4X4 bush camp and self-drive destination.

I even found this review of the place on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H0dem2Xs78

Really an amazing place. Highly recommend.

There are two camps close (~600m) to each other on the same cutline track, Chobe Forest Camp https://chobeforestcamp.com/ and Chobe Mopani Forest Camp https://chobemopaniforestlodge.com/
Wonder how the competition is between the two.

@Mike yes I had been confused by the two similarly named camps so close on the map...
@Stephan this is the second forum where I see you have recently joined to exclusively extol the virtues of this particular camp - hopefully you are just a happy customer and have no relationship with Bushlore

I drove past them on the way to Chobe Forest Camp, which was previously lucky bush camp. Not sure why they used such a similar name to Chobe forest camp, but this looked more like a full board lodge experience than self catering. Haven't looked at the rates, would expect it to be more expensive.

I don’t see it as an issue even if he has a relationship with them or not. $20 pppn is a fair rate when looking at what they offer to 4X4 customers.

There is a market for this type of campsite and will be good for the area. More options for us wanting to visit the area. The name is a bit confusing as it is not really in the forrest area proper. It is to the east of the Nata - Kasane road on similar position as Senyanti.

@PinkNosedPenguin I have no relationship to the company, it had nothing to do with the review

Wow, the Mopani Camp looks great too. Ablution and deck for every single campsite with power for 270P pppn. Think is one of the best value for money I've seen so far.
